Every CV that comes in gets parsed automatically, but sometimes it needs redoing: a field's missing, a fresher version's landed, or something just didn't take. The parser status field puts that back in your hands, so here's how to use it.
Update one field, choose exactly what gets refreshed, and know straight away if something's gone wrong. No ticket, no waiting on support, you're in control of the reparse!
Managed by the seven20__Parser_Status__c field on the contact record. Update the value to trigger the action below.
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| Partial Re-parse | Updates the seven20__Full_CV__c field and any blank field on the contact record with the value parsed from the CV |
| Partial Re-parse with History Records | Same as Partial Re-Parse, however also creates new seven20__Education_History__c and seven20__Employment_History__c records from the CV |
| Full Re-parse | Updates all field values on the contact record with the value parsed from the CV |
| Full Re-parse with History Records | Same as Full Re-Parse, however also creates new seven20__Education_History__c and seven20__Employment_History__c records from the CV |
| Parse History Records | Creates new seven20__Education_History__c and seven20__Employment_History__c records from the CV, but updates no contact field values |
| Parsed | The CV has been parsed, and no further action is required |
| Failed Partial Re-parse | A partial reparse action has failed to complete, retry the parse action and reach out to support if it persists |
| Failed Full Re-parse | A full reparse action has failed to complete, retry the parse action and reach out to support if it persists |
| Failed History Parse | A history parse action has failed to complete, retry the parse action and reach out to support if it persists |
Triggering a reparse from the parser status field
It's a new field, so it won't show on every record yet. But as soon as one contact has had its parser status set, a pencil icon appears next to it in list view. Select multiple records with that pencil showing, and you can update the parser status field across all of them at once — no need to open each record individually.
