More of what Vinton can already do for you, plus a first look at what's coming next: automatic record updates straight from your conversations.
Vinton records in-person meetings the same way it does calls. Because the mobile app doesn't have calendar access, it can tell you the type of meeting but not who was in it, so recordings need to be manually linked to the right Salesforce record afterwards.
We're looking into an "open record" option for cases with lots of near-identical contacts, e.g. picking the right one out of six Robert Bells.
Every recording lets you share it, see which records it's associated with, and edit the transcription or summary. The Follow-up tab comes with a pre-generated follow-up template ready to send.
Browse to the record, tap Hey Vinton, record your note, tap Stop when you're done, then Approve. Works from the record itself in Salesforce or the mobile app.
Scribe is Camino's bot-less transcription option, for meetings where a video recording isn't the right fit. It's a desktop app and it's already enabled, so everyone can use it today.
Scribe needs to be running in the background to detect the call — join a native app rather than a browser tab where you can, since browser-joined meetings (like Google Meet in-browser) aren't detected as reliably.
Scribe notices the meeting and asks if you'd like it transcribed.
Jot quick notes during the call, and bookmark moments you'll want to find again later.
Once the meeting ends, it lands in Vinton as a transcript — your bookmarks and other insights show up in Salesforce alongside it.
Scribe keeps your call history and links straight through to the matching entry in the Vinton library on Salesforce.
Field Agent takes the recordings a step further: once it's configured, Vinton will automatically update Salesforce records based on what's said in a meeting, no manual write-up needed. It's already running in the background but hasn't been set up in our org yet — that's what this week's workshop with Ben and Jack is for, building on templates already suggested by TG and Zach.
A few things still being worked through: whether we're on the latest version of Vinton, the "open record" option for the app, and giving you the ability to discard individual field updates rather than only "discard all."
We're also looking at other VOIP options that integrate more tightly with Salesforce and Vinton than our current setup — more to come.
